Lo.Li.Ta / La Mort

Innocence, beauty and degradation are three of the core elements of Lolita, Vladimir Nabokov’s masterpiece, which has transcended the realm of literature to become an icon of popular culture. Even so, the painfully sensual Lo.Li.Ta created by La Taimada avoids meanings and stereotypes and instead suggests hidden sonorities and images.

Lo.Li.Ta is the first of the two pieces being presented by this dance and physical theatre company at La Quinzena Metropolitan Dance. The second, entitled La Mort, invites us to look at the beauty of the motionless body, while at the same time forcing us to observe fragility and loss.

LA TAIMADA

The company formed in 2004 with the solo La Taimada by Olga Álvarez (Vilafranca del Penedès) and the collaboration of Leire Llano (Bilbao). The company explores the language of movement with the dancing, physicality and intentions of the body.
