Mercat de les Flors

The Mercat de les Flors plays a particular role as a driving force and a place of encounter for proposals that foster the arts of movement, that contribute to the consolidation of quality and public dance companies and which support groups in other related fields of the arts. To achieve this, it networks with various agents and other Catalan, Spanish and international bodies, both public and private, in the realms of contemporary culture and thinking.

The various facets of the Mercat de les Flors artistic project are directed towards upholding a policy of ongoing support for talent, for artists with a personal stamp and the potential for growth; encouraging audience participation and their presence in the amenity and in social mediation, cultural action and community creation projects; establishing policies for forging links with the world of education and research at every level that will lead to appropriate empowerment and transformation; promoting a model that places a value on innovation, creativity, talent and effort; and generating the maximum resources for itself while providing quality content and respecting the appropriate balance with other organisations and associations in both the public and the private sector.
