Geographical proximity makes it logical to build bridges between the consolidated panorama of French choreography and the powerful energy and quality of the Catalan dance scene.
But this is not the only reason why the festival is looking to its northern neighbour. France is the country par excellence of professional urban dances. The famous French professional choreographers who have promoted hip-hop and other styles of urban dance from streets and squares to theatres are now internationally known and recognised figures.
Dansa Metropolitana hosts the performances of several of these exceptional figures who have helped to write a fundamental chapter in the history of dance.
