360º / Zitzània
"360º", La Gualtero
In 360º, Raquel Gualtero looks towards her Colombian roots to create a piece in which rotation serves as the pivotal element. A rotation around the same axis to return to the starting point. The beginning and the end are the same, yet the journey is vast and encompasses everything: the simplicity of a childhood game and the virtuosity of traditional dances. Because rotation, at times, is also about revealing oneself, opening up to others, and shedding one’s layers.
The dancer, choreographer, and mother Raquel Gualtero was born in Barcelona but began her training in the Netherlands. After thirteen years performing across Europe with companies such as the Scottish Dance Theatre, Roberto Zappala, and Fabulous Beast, she returned to Barcelona and, since 2016, has been engaged in her own research work, presenting major pieces such as Brut in 2016 and Panorama in 2021.

"Zitzània" de Lali Ayguadé and Joan Ramon Graell
Zitzània is a duet that blends the elegance of circus with the fluidity of dance, focusing on physicality and difference. Through the movement of bodies, it explores how two contrasting presences can interact and complement each other. Like the darnel, a plant that grows among wheat with its own beauty and uniqueness, the artists investigate what it means to inhabit the space of the other —a fragile and unusual terrain that becomes the creative starting point.
This piece is the result of a connection forged over the years between Lali Ayguadé and Joan Ramon Graell. After having created duets together in their youth, they are now reuniting, driven by a deep friendship and the desire to explore new possibilities based on their artistic and personal experiences. This reunion becomes an opportunity to reinvent and rediscover themselves in a scenic language that blends circus, dance, and the closeness of a shared bond.
Lali Ayguadé and Joan Ramon Graell will also present Zitzània on March 15 within the Vibracions project in Sant Cugat and on March 23 within the Vibracions project in Sabadell.
