Dancing with Frogs

A choreographic reflection on the world of masculinity, the other half, the biological complement of the female. What is masculinity without femininity? Are there limits between one and the other? How does the 21st century man live, feel and relate to the world? And, above all, how should a man be? What do you have to do to be one? As suggested by the title of the show, Sol Picó dances with frogs, but also with lumbosexuals, neo thugs, metrosexuals and androgens in an acid, dirty, thrilling and tragicomic adventure.

Trained in classic, contemporary and Spanish dance, Sol Picó transgressively combines different techniques and languages in her productions. In 1993 she created Sol Picó Company, becoming one of the most heterodox choreographers and dancers in the contemporary scene. Her shows, including Bésame cactus, Memories of a flea or We Women, have traveled all over the world and have collected such prestigious awards as ten Max Awards, the National Dance Award of Catalonia (2004) and the 2016 National Award of Dance 2016.
