La partida
Inspired by the universe portrayed in Paolo Zucca’s film L’arbitro, this choreographic piece establishes a dialogue between contemporary dance and football. Five dancers, five footballers and a referee reveal the similarities and differences between the two disciplines.
La partida is a reflection on humans’ needs and priorities. Passion and humour, strength and sensitivity, animality and sophistication confront each other in a game in which the protagonists and the spectators risk their lives on the field of play.
The dancer and illustrator Vero Cendoya blends choreography, theatre, visual art and live music in her creations. As a choreographer, she explores the role played by contemporary dance today and explores various disciplines and concepts.
