Dance accompanied by ingenuity, audio-visuals and the plastic arts in a nice show full of magic and poetry for the whole family to enjoy
LÙ (路), which means “path” in traditional Chinese, combines dance, ingenuity, audio-visuals and the plastic arts to create a magical, creative and poetic show. The characters in this story live in a place surrounded by earth and poverty. They work and work in the fields without any rest, but in order to survive they have turned their work into a game. It is impossible to forbid a boy to play. This show speaks about the power of creativity and the imagination as a form of escape in the face of the cruelty and harshness of life. In this new project, the Companyia Maduixa has produced an intimate show full of poetic images and feelings for the whole family to enjoy.
La Companyia Maduixa is an artistic group created in Sueca (Valencia) in 2004 by Joan Santacreu and this year it is celebrating its 15th anniversary with this production. With frequent appearances on stages in Europe, Asia and North America, during its 15-year career it has created shows with its own style that captivate audiences with very powerful choreographies and visual references. Over these years, its creations have won more than 20 prizes, including three MAX Prizes and four FETEN prizes, as well as taking part in numerous festivals and theatres in over 25 countries around the world.
