Mix-en-scene

Acoustic, choreographic and visual experience performed by a dancer who is also a DJ. Amaranta Velarde plays live while she dances, accompanied by the visual pieces generated in real time by the artist and creative technologist Alba G. Corral. The proposal takes a journey that experiences with the superposition of styles and artistic principles, from Erik Satie to Pina Bausch and the futurists, Mary Wigman, William Forsythe, Kraftwerk or Stravinsky, icons of music, dance and visual arts, mixed at the sound table and on stage.

Amaranta Velarde graduated in CODARTS, Dance University of Rotterdam (2004). She began her career in Holland, until she moved to Barcelona in 2011 to undertake her own choreographic projects. She has also worked with creators like Pere Faura, Cris Blanco, El Conde de Torrefiel and Diana Gadish as well as taking part in the ARTAS association of La Poderosa (2013-2016).

Alba Corral is an artist and creative technologist. Trained in computer engineering, she creates hipnotic digital landscapes with the help of software. Corral has col·laborated with musicians such as Jon Hopkins, Jacaszek and Arbol and has taken part in festivals and events like Sonar, Primavera Sound and L.E.V. Festival.
