Compañía Flamenca Mavi Arias

Intimate flamenco to pay tribute to the artists who are no longer with us and who have left an indelible mark on our lives.

Intimate flamenco that pays tribute to the artists (cantaores, guitarists and bailaores) who are no longer with us and who have left an indelible mark on our lives through Flamenco. A show in which the bailaoras captivate the audience with their style, sublime elegance, clean and strong footwork, and absolute command of the traditional accessories of female dancing: shawl, fan, castanets and long train dress

The bailaora from Malaga Mavi Arias, who lives in Barcelona, has a degree in Spanish Dance Choreography and Performance; she is a dancer of Spanish Dance and Flamenco and is familiar with Contemporary dance. She has studied with artists like Domingo Ortega, Antonio “El Pipa”, Rafael del Carmen, Maribel Gallardo, Luis Ortega, África Moreno, Olga Pericet and Eva Yerbabuena, and has been a member of various Dance and Flamenco companies as a dancer and soloist, going on tours all over the world. Among the shows she has directed and choreographed are La Lola se va a los Puertos, De Wena Gana and Picaríssimo.
