A conversation between performers, a fascinating dance duet that seeks out and fuses the common elements of Basque and flamenco culture.

Yarin is root. Yarin is found. Yarin is dialogue. We find two men who look from their root, who delve deeper into it as a way of relating to their environment. They arrive with an origin and an essence of their own, they present us with an encounter; dialogue. Dialogue is not always easy, it is built from listening, respect. Sometimes it brings us closer, sometimes it distances us, sometimes it stresses us, and it also embraces us. Yarin presents us with an intercultural meeting, where the basque dancer Jon Maya and the bailaor Andrés Marín, accompanied by the live music of Julen Achiary, meet based on an honest dialogue, which shows us the differences and the desire to share through a common path towards a tomorrow.

Kukai Dantza is a Basque company created by the dancer and choreographer Jon Maya in 2001, known for contemporary creation based on traditional dance. This has allowed him to cultivate a unique style that has led him to work with internationally renowned choreographers and win numerous awards, such as the 2017 National Dance Award and several Max awards (2009, 2015, 2017 and 2019), among many others. In this show, Maya works with Andalusian dancer Andrés Marín to join creative forces and delve deeper into the common elements of Basque and flamenco culture. Andrés Marín has received the 2022 National Dance Award in the creative category
