Kaash, The Prom, In Memoriam and Whim

Share

IT Dansa offers four choreographed pieces in very different styles, packed with energy and good vibrations. Kaash, by the acclaimed Akram Khan, is a demanding piece requiring considerable technique, rigour, precision and physical power. The Prom, by Lorena Nogal, a highly theatrical choreography with touches of humour, longing and frailty which reflects the nostalgia and uncertainties of youth. In Memoriam, by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, a piece that plays with caresses and blows.

Talk-workshop: How did we used to dance before the 1970s?

Share

The dancers Toni Jodar and Francesc Bravo will be offering a talk entitled “Com ballàvem abans dels 70 i com ballem avui?” [How did we used to dance before the 1970s and how do we dance today?]. This is an educational performance, halfway between talk and show, that takes us back to the past, from traditional dances to the time of the Charleston, the Av Paral·lel of cabarets, and cafès cantants [cafés with performing singers], to link these dance styles and fashions with those of the present. Shall we get on the dance floor?
