52-BLAU is an attempt to survive a shipwreck in the vastness of an infinite space, a place where the individual struggles in the void of an ocean full of stimuli. It is almost an ode to the storm: a body confronting solitude, fighting to stay afloat. It is a piece that inhabits sadness in a world where bodies are unable to communicate.
iXa is a contemporary dance project led by Xián Martínez with an identity that spans the Basque Country and Galicia. Founded in 2020, the company has toured across Spain and to countries such as Senegal, Mexico and Bulgaria, and it has created works for other companies in the United States, Canada and soon in Portugal. With three productions and a new one in development, iXa has received over fifteen awards and recognitions.
