Àgores Barcelona

Due to the weather forecast, the event has been relocated and will no longer take place at Antiga Seu Editorial Gustau Gili. The new venue will be La Caldera.

Àgores is the project this year that is bringing life to the streets of the cities participating in Dansa Metropolitana. It's a space where the metropolitan area is filled with dance, shared steps and the desire to come together.

The programme begins with INSECTA by Pauline Berndsen Danse, a solo exploring a hybrid being, half-praying mantis, half-human, shifting between instinctive fluidity and abruptness. It is an inquiry into transformation as a vital act of adaptation for survival.
INSECTA is presented in collaboration with the Quartiers Danses Festival.

Following this, Argentine choreographer and performer Josefina Gorostiza will present the project Fervor, developed with students from the Barcelona Higher Conservatory of Dance, the IEA Oriol Martorell, Area Dansa and Star Dance Studio. Originally created for Contemporary Ballet of the Teatro de San Martín in Buenos Aires, the piece has been adapted for the Àgores project in Barcelona. It is a learning space where students create new connections and encounters by designing and generating unique movement maps.
