Àgores Cornellà

Àgores is the project that will bring life to the streets of the cities participating in Dansa Metropolitana this year. It's a space where the metropolitan area is filled with dance, shared steps and the desire to come together.

The event begins with a free family workshop led by Canadian choreographer Pauline Gervais at Plaça dels Enamorats. Next, the action moves to Plaça de l’Església, with a performance of 8 Km en Mula by Álvaro Murillo, a danced chronicle of a real event that inspired Lorca’s Blood Wedding. A forbidden love, an instinctive and irrational force challenging social appearances, told through the language of flamenco.

Following this, students from ARC Dance School, Star Dance Studio and TP Dance Center will showcase work created in collaboration with Spanish dance choreographer Carmen Muñoz.

The day concludes with Tierras raras by Sacude, presenting a unique flamenco tablao (flamenco stage), transparent and suspended in the air, allowing the audience to witness the zapateado (footwork) of a bailaora (flamenco dancer) like never before: from below!
