Bailar y otras maneras de jugarse la vida blends dance, monologue and audiovisual elements to take an acerbic yet humorous look at the precarity of artists through the eyes of a 40-year-old dancer. Winner of the Dones Monologuistes Award 2023, Irene García transforms her own career into a poetic, ironic and tender battle of resistance on constantly shifting ground.
La Quebrá, led by creator and dancer Irene García, explores the intersections of dance, humour and autobiography through the @precaria_garcia project. With a critical gaze on identity and bodily imaginaries, the company creates hybrid, physical and emotionally charged works that connect with audiences and give voice to realities that are often silenced.
