Biterna i Minus 16
The Institut del Teatre’s youth dance company is back at Dansa Metropolitana with two choreographies in distinctly different styles. The performance opens with Aleix Martínez’s Biterna, created for IT Dansa, which aims to give a voice to minorities who have suffered and continue to suffer discrimination, focusing on the persecution of witches over the centuries. It closes with Minus 16, a choreography by Ohad Naharinthat takes the audience on a journey exploring a range of emotional states, from solitary despair to collective joy.
IT Dansa is an Institut del Teatre educational project, established in 1996 with the aim of promoting the professional development of young dancers. The company has performed on national and international stages, presented around forty choreographies, and hosted more than 200 dancers.
