Bodies on screen, a dialogue between dance and the projected image
As part of Dansa Metropolitana 2026, Fort Pienc Civic Centre, in collaboration with Choreoscope, Barcelona Dance Film Festival, will host a programme of two audiovisual screenings:
Ding… – A hybrid piece that brings together audiovisual creation and live performance by the same dancers who appear in the short film. Created in collaboration with the Institut del Teatre, Ding… is an original short film resulting from a collective inquiry into movement, image, space and perception. It is followed by a discussion of the creative process with the dancers.
Seasons of Dance – This audiovisual piece expands the dialogue between disciplines and invites reflection on how images capture, while also transforming, the essence of movement. The film explores the relationship between dance and nature, locality and the seasons, revealing the diversity, fragility and strength that inhabit both the body and the landscape of contemporary dance. Featuring music by Max Richter reinterpreting Vivaldi.
