ELK is a performance art and dance piece that engages in dialogue with raw and altered materials. It establishes a conversation between the dancer’s body and other organic bodies such as mud, wool, cork, glass, natural latex, silk, wood, stone, and plant fibres. An exploration of energetic performing arts properties, the work presents a dramaturgy made of visible and invisible matter where the performer and the audience can together imagine spaces that are healing, creative, and essential for existence.

Sònia Gómez is a dancer, performance artist, and choreographer trained at the Institut del Teatre and at P.A.R.T.S. Since 2004, she has been creating works that explore identity and social posturing through the body and performance art. She has performed in various countries across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and has won awards such as the FAD Sebastià Gasch Award (2007), several Butaca Awards, and an honourable mention at the Delfí Colomer Awards in 2017.
