INQUIETS / Negro Luz
“INQUIETS” by L'Émerveillée
INQUIETS is a contemporary dance piece that explores the paradox of a movement-based performance that speaks about stillness. Five performers, their bodies covered in grey clay, become living sculptures that question our relationship with time, attention and rhythm. Inspired by Juan Muñoz’s sculptural work, the piece turns the body into an ephemeral sculpture and reclaims stillness as a poetic gesture and an act of resistance in an accelerated world.
Under the direction of Patricia Hastewell Puig, L’Émereveillée creates dance works that combine physical theatre and visual arts. Their pieces are inspired by lived experiences, memories, fears and dreams, and they unfold in dreamlike spaces with expanded time. With humour and a poetic gaze, the company has created award-winning works such as Les Passants, El ball de les cireres and V, which have been presented at international festivals.
“Negro Luz” by Raquel Klein (Co-produced by Dansa Metropolitana)
Negro Luz is a choreographic installation that investigates darkness as a performative material and a space where perception expands. The work, in this case adapted to a non-convencional space, explores the outline as a dialogue between presence and absence, approached through a contemplative gaze. Using landscape-like states and stage mechanisms, the piece creates a transitional time that invites the audience to refine their perception and deepen their experience of the subtle.
Raquel Klein is a creator, performer and teacher who explores the choreographic potential of spaces through bodies that become landscapes, extended temporalities and long-term contemplative states. In constant collaboration with Albert Tarrats, her projects integrate sound as the crux of dialogue with the space.
