Interferències

La Banda, Street Groove

Share

Tap, body percussion, dance and gestural theatre converge to weave together a show about community with five performers who constantly generate and combine sound and movement.

Interferències is a work that reflects on community and interpersonal connections, and on how individuality is an essential part of the machinery that makes up the group. A group of five individuals coexists in an uncertain space in which a fabric of sounds and percussive movements shape the essence of their language. The calm, which up until then governs the scene, is interrupted by the unexpected appearance of a mysterious element. The connections are threatened, relationships are questioned and the group’s unity shakes and shudders.

La Banda, Street Groove is a project created by The Ground Sisters that came into being in April 2018 with the aim of constructing a language and identity of their own based on the use of disciplines like tap, body percussion, dance and gestural theatre, and the connection with the street, in order to tell stories and transmit messages through rhythm and movement.

Show scheduled by the Barcelona Districte Cultural.
