‘My apocalypse is not a catastrophe, it’s a grand cabaret’. La Cordero i el seu exèrcit is a celebration of the end as a beginning: a ritual of surrender, an infernal and revealing striptease in which vulnerability is transformed into strength. The performance closes the Soroll, vanitat i alcohol trilogy, an internal kitsch apocalypse.
Sol Picó founded her company in 1994, developing a hybrid contemporary dance language open to dialogue across genres. Her work is defined by humour and a powerful, fast and vital movement style, creating a unique performative language. Over her career, she has received accolades such as the 2016 National Dance Award, multiple Max Awards, the 2014 Ciutat de Barcelona Award and the 2020 Creu de Sant Jordi.
