Lady Bloom

Lady Bloom is a dance and performance solo for public space that turns an ornamental figure into a living, untamed body. Covered in white flowers, the performer appears part of the landscape, silent. Yet beneath this stillness beats a pulse: the flower awakens, grows and occupies the space. The piece questions the archetype of the ‘vase woman’, turning delicacy into strength and presence. It is a journey from camouflage to assertion, from ornament to resistance.

La Quebrá is a Barcelona-based dance and performance company led by Irene García and Sergi Cerdán. Their work explores the body as a political and poetic space, combining physical presence, irony and visual care. Their pieces oscillate between the everyday and the symbolic, aiming to foster proximity with the audience and critical reflection. They have been presented at festivals and venues across the land.

This performance is part of a double bill with Birdy by Hung Dance, at 7 pm at the Teatre-Auditori Emma Vilarasau.
