“NO (Pieza Corta)” by La Venidera
NO (Pieza Corta) is the trigger that makes us move forward. It speaks of concealment, reduction and disappearance, of what is silenced or denied. But no also contains everything that is yet to come: doubt, the question, the risk of uncertainty. Doubting becomes the driving force to seek answers and create. Negation is the oxygen that feeds the fire of creation, because art exists thanks to the negation of the real world.
La Venidera, directed by Albert Hernández and Irene Tena, was born out of the creative need of two artists seeking new perspectives within contemporary Spanish dance. It is their first independent project outside the Spanish National Ballet, where they were principal dancers and soloists. Their works include Sevilla (for the Spanish National Ballet), Loca and Pineda, created for the Andalusian Flamenco Ballet.

“DOMINARE” by Cia. Maduixa
DOMINARE explores the physical limits of movement to address power abuse and dynamics of control. With a critical yet poetic approach, it reveals situations of domination that are often invisible or normalised, challenging us as both potential victims and participating agents. Set within a square, airy space, the piece becomes a floating, striking work in which every suspended gesture captures the gaze and moves the soul.
Since 2004, Cia. Maduixa has created theatre and street performances for audiences of all ages, developing a unique language that fuses dance, visual arts and technology to generate powerful poetic imagery. With over twenty awards—including three MAX Awards and five FETEN—the company has toured in more than 25 countries.

“MANIFESTO” by Àngel Duran
A quintet of bodies summons the spirit of subcultures and transforms a public space into a stage for collective fervour. In this ephemeral celebration, bodies intertwine in a ritual of escape and resistance. MANIFESTO is a monument to rebellion, a tribute to those who found refuge in the intensity of the moment. This piece is a site-specific excerpt from the stage work MONUMENT, winner of the 2025 Butaca Award for Best Choreography.
Àngel Duran is a choreographer and performer with degrees in contemporary cance from SEAD (Salzburg) and in art and design from the UAB, and trained as an actor in Madrid and Barcelona. After working with various European companies, he launched his own project in 2020. His research explores the human condition through the body, with an intense physicality and an approach that combines poetry and movement, emotion, and direct visual imagery.
