SNÖSTJÄRNA

In the ventilation ducts of a multinational corporation, a being with a triangular head searches for a way out—or perhaps for the meaning of its own existence. SNÖSTJÄRNA is a visual and physical odyssey exploring desire, consumption and freedom within the machinery of a corporate empire. It is a dystopian tragicomedy in which the body, image and repetition reveal the absurdity of modern reality. Inspired by Cristian Robles’ comic IKEA Dream Makers.

Núria Dalmau and Valeria Pisati are artists working at the intersection of physical theatre, dance and performance, exploring the body as a site of transformation and conflict. They investigate the relationships between intimacy, freedom and collective identity using a language that combines provocation, humour and visual and sonic sensitivity. With hybrid stage devices, direct dialogue with the audience and a questioning of the structures that underpin contemporary reality, their work challenges perception and experience.
