Tempo
Tempo explores how musical rhythms influence emotions and how these, in turn, transform into movement. In this personal journey, Toni Mira draws inspiration from the energy and vision of a new generation of dancers, inviting the audience to connect body with imagination and memory and evoking moments we have all experienced while listening to or dancing a bolero, waltz or jazz piece.
Choreographer, dancer and actor Toni Mira has been a leading figure in dance-theatre and directed the company Nats Nus Dansa since the 1980s. Awarded the Ciutat de Barcelona Prize (2009) and the National Dance Award of Catalonia (2010), he is renowned for his exceptional sense of rhythm, imaginative use of stage space, humour and poetic sensibility. This production won the 2024 Teatre Barcelona Award for Best Dance Performance.
The company offers a post-performance discussion by Recomana.
