Do you remember the French tightrope walker Nathan Paulin, who walked across a cable over Passeig de Gràcia at the opening of the Grec 2023? Well, you'll see him again, directed once more by Rachid Ouramdane, with the Swiss climber Nina Caprez and accompanied by eight acrobats.
All of them do extreme practices (slackline, climbing, dance, aerial choreographies...) in a hybrid setting in which a documentary format and a dreamlike atmosphere are combined. You will hear the virtuosos and sports men and women talk about what they do, in a reflection on risk, vertigo and fear with an existential and even metaphysical dimension.
Rachid Ouramdane took up hip-hop when he was a child in the 90s and later joined the National Centre for Contemporary Dance in Angers. His creations are usually based on the intimate experiences of people such as refugee children, victims of torture or natural disasters. He collaborates regularly with circus artists, authors, visual artists and musicians and, since April 2021, he has directed the National Theatre of Chaillot, the most important Dance House in France, with a project based on diversity and hospitality.
