DANCED TALK: Explica Dansa and Transmissions: We give the body a voice

Music, video, photography, the word and movement come together to generate a pedagogical performance experience for all ages. It is the encounter between dancers Toni Jodar, Javi Casado and Guille Vidal-Ribas, who with a dynamic and accessible discourse present a show that connects the past and present transversally and offers tools for understanding and enjoying modern, contemporary and urban dance.

Using audio-visual resources and movement, the show offers a pedagogical performance on the key concepts of modern, contemporary and urban dance.

Explica Dansa is a project for creation and training co-directed by Beatriu Daniel and Toni Jodar. It offers key interpretative tools for making knowledge of contemporary languages more accessible, and inviting people to reflect on and discuss dance.

Transmissions is the result of an investigation begun by Guille Vidal-Ribas and Javi Casado, which brings together the knowledge acquired over two decades as urban dancers, and combines it with information taken from a broad documentary base, and from interviews with pioneering national and international figures.
