A contemporary dance duo revealing the patterns that form in the body when faced with an adverse situation.

The dance duo made up of Clémentine Télesfort and Lisard Tranis bring the expressiveness born of body language and the physical reflexes that come into play when faced with adverse circumstances to the stage. La mecànica de l’infortuni reveals the resilience of human beings. and shows the patterns that form in the body when faced with a challenge. A reflection on the creative capacity of human imagination, in which irony and humour are used as an escape mechanism. In this piece, it will reveal through contemporary dance, the grotesqueness of being and at the same time the beauty of errors.

Clémentine Télesfort, from France, and Lisard Tranis, from Catalonia, are contemporary dance performers and creators based in Barcelona. Since 2019, they have been collaborating on performing arts research and creation, focusing on body language and movement as a means of communication. Their imaginary is based on an interest in exploring mindfulness as a dramaturgical tool, an ode to presence, which leads them to create works in which the everyday gives way to the poetics of the subconscious.

The company will be holding a discussion following the performance.
