Show cancelled

Share

The Russian State Ballet will not be able to perform on the next 12 and 13 March in the festival programming. LaFact Cultural is working to announce a representation of the Swan Lake with another company on the same level. People who have purchased tickets to attend the show will be able to exchange them for the role of the Swan Lake on the new dates that we'll be communicating to you soon or requesting the return. We'll keep you informed.

The renowned company presents the first of the three ballets written by the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with a live orchestra, a most famous classical ballet choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov that was first performed in 1877 and which is still one of the most popular ballets in the world today. The story tells how the evil Von Rothbart, a wizard, half-human and half-animal, has chosen Prince Siegfried to be his next victim and he will use one of his beautiful enchanted swans as bait for the young man’s damnation.

The Russian State Ballet, based in Moscow, was founded in 1981 by Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Gordeev, who has been the artistic director and choreographer since the beginning. In a 30-year career and with more than 90 dancers today, it is one of the most renowned and admired ballets in the world. Representative figures in dance such as Maria Semyonova, Asaf Messerer, Sh. Lagudin, E. Axenova, G. Pribylov, N. Ryzhenko and Mikhail Lavrovsky have worked in it.
