Lavatory door signs become animated characters that speak to us and invite us to reflect on our society's most deep-rooted gender stereotypes. WhiCh removes the conventional and grotesque from lavatory spaces and turns them into an intimate setting for philosophical research, where the absurdity of gender clichés is analysed.

The director's intention is to turn a lavatory into a poetic, dreamlike landscape. The beautiful contradiction of transforming the stage, a place of maximum exposure, into a toilet, a place of guarded intimacy.

After two decades performing works by choreographers and stage managers of great prestige, choreographer Virgínia Gimeno Folgado set up the Adoctrinades company with the aim of achieving greater awareness of the content of her works and discovering the emotional and social effects they create among the audience.
