Rambert / Sharon Eyal

Share

An impressive piece that fuses cinema, animation and contemporary dance, choreographed by the award-winning Sharon Eyal.

Aisha and Abhaya are two sisters who live in a world of fantasy full of family problems and dangers. Seeking refuge far from their violent homeland, they struggle to survive in a new country. A unique theatrical experience that combines the audio-visuals of the film director director Kibwe Tavares with the choreography of the award-winning Sharon Eyal in collaboration with The Royal Ballet. All of it, performed by 16 dancers on stage in an impressive performance full of dynamism and emotion.

Founded in 1926 by Marie Rambert, Rambert is one of the most important contemporary dance companies in the world and the best known in the United Kingdom. With powerful staging they transform the spaces through impressive, bold and dynamic dances. One of their objectives as a company is to connect with audiences of different backgrounds, and so they always work around exciting and radical ideas. They also give dance courses and workshops for people of different ages and abilities, together with educational activities and communal initiatives.

Programmed by the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya in collaboration with Dansa Metropolitana.
