ADQTLS is a choreographic piece and the result of research into theatrical creation without seeing. “How do you see us?”

ANTES DE QUE TODOS LO SEPAN is a choreographic piece and the result of research into theatrical creation without seeing; the director and performers deliberately refused to succumb to the value judgment offered by sight. Sight drives people mad and the other senses disguise themselves as it. Dancers that touch, feel and read in order to see. They invite the spectator to imagine other ways of moving bodies, moving space, light and sound. They create a choreography wherever trickery allows them to think that things can always have more than one face, other senses; that reality might be nothing like what we once believed. “How do you see us?”

Paula Serrano started out professionally in the Jove Companyia Gerard Collins in Valencia and she has worked under the direction of choreographers like Asun Noales, Gustavo Ramirez, Olatz de Andrés, Maura Morales, Irene García and Elvi Balboa. She is currently studying choreography at the Institut del Teatre, combining it with her activity as a professional dancer and choreographer. She is interested in analysing dance from a critical point of view and feeding off the synergy of other arts.

The Sala HirosResidèncieshima offers a discussion after the function, Meet the artist with Paula Serrano, on 21 March.
