Two up-and-coming artists on the electronic music scene get together in this DJ set, part of the exhibition of “La Máscara, culturas del futuro”.

DA ROCHA UM is a multidisciplinary artist, who parallel to his plastic arts studies has developed his career as a DJ and electronic music producer. He approaches experimental music from multiple genres such as Bass, Ambient, Punk, Industrial and Spoken Word. His work has been released by labels like ABUNDANCE or Prinzedom Records and he is a big presence on the Barcelona underground scene. He also does the sound design for contemporary dance companies and artists such as, among others, Richard Mascherin, Kor’sia and EL AMOR.

Perla Zúñiga, aka JOVENDELAPERLA, a poet and artist, and Vera Amores, aka BERENICE, a model and music producer, are the founders of the Madrid electronic music collective CULPA. Interested in manipulating conventional sounds and spaces, they use the DJ set as a means to construct momentary parallel realities. Their sets are texturally rich and diverse, characterized by their way of frenetically mixing vocal samples and pop songs with drum and bass, trance or techno, which place the crowd on a kind of emotional roller coaster, and opting for mannerisms, error and fantasy.
