Los detectives

Our brain stores images and operates like a search engine; it searches for links in order to understand what is happening, links that launch a kind of mental YouTube. We use the term kopfkino for this ability to link images and construct mental films.

On the basis of this concept, the members of Los detectives formulate a question: to what extent to the fictions that we consume influence our vision of the world and of ourselves? This is the driving force of Kopfkino, a piece that uses the body as an essential tool for exploring the fringes created when fiction and reality meet.

Los detectives formed as a collective following the meeting between Mariona Naudin, María García, Marina Colomina and Laia Cabrera, four workers in the performing arts who are embarking on their joint path with Kopfkino. Their projects grow out of a laboratory in which the performers constantly change roles and from which an organic and spontaneous writing emerges. The result could be described as ‘theatrical choreography’ or ‘dramaturgical dance’.
