MULÏER

Cia. Maduixa

Share

Five dancers on stilts pay tribute to the women who for centuries have fought against oppression, investigating the physical limits between dance and balance, poetry, movement, strength and the emotions.

Five dancers on stilts investigate the physical limits between dance and balance, poetry, movement, strength and the emotions. MULÏER comes from the need to explore female identity through the body, stressing image, visual poetry and narrative to shake the audience’s emotions. MULÏER is a tribute to all the women who, during many centuries of oppression, have fought and continue to fight to keep their wild self alive and who demand the right to dance and run freely through the streets of our society.

Cia. Maduixa, created by Joan Santacreu in 2004 in Sueca (Valencia), has successfully established itself with the creation of unique shows, rigorous work and delicate research in the process of its productions. During its career it has toured extensively in more than 20 countries in Europe, Asia, North and Central America, and it has received prestigious awards, like the MAX prize for the shows Dot and MULÏER.
